The Moon Reapers
History
Originally, the moon reapers were champions of the Omnisciens, warrior mages who gave up their immortality in return for incredible power. What they did not understand, and could have no way of knowing, was that the divine and mortal were not meant to mix. As a result, walking the bridge between gods and men began to drive them insane, even as it blessed them with power beyond imagination.
By the time the all-knowings realized what they had done, it was too late to reverse the change. And yet, they had no wish to face the Silverteeth on the field of battle, either. And so they created draes daemar, the great magic eater, thereby banishing them, as men, to the world of the living.

Abilities
At the cleansing of the day, the moon reaper’s blood changes to Ichor, which is essentially distilled moonlight. Because of this, they undergo a massive, magical transformation that vastly enhances many of their abilities, and adds several incredible powers.
They release an aura that basically drains vitality, making their opponents tired and worn (this aura has the greatest effect on magical vitality, such as that of the Inimod or blessed Acaens).Time, space, and gravity all fluctuate around them in response to their subliminal motives, essentially making them stronger and faster than should be humanly possible. Additional physical strength, speed, and stamina are also granted by the ichor, along with the ability to bend moonlight, which basically acts as an extremely malleable, multipurposed weapon.
Perhaps the most incredible aspect of the Ichor is its massive regenerative ability; a moon reaper can recover from almost any wound in a matter of seconds. Even decapitation barely slows them- whenever a body part is removed, it transforms into ichor, and can be reassembled at will or used as a potent weapon, depending on the will of the reaper (mortal wounds automatically reassemble)
However, this is not a perfect ability. whenever the Ichor is exposed, energy is lost into the atmosphere. While the moon reaper doesn’t feel this drain, if too much energy is lost, the ichor turns back to blood. In this case, the fact that they don’t feel the drain can actually be a disadvantage, because they have no gauge of when they’ve reached their limit. They can then overextend themselves, not realizing when they’ve lost too much energy to keep fighting. Then, when someone chops there head off, it transforms into ichor, begins to reassemble... and suddenly turns red, spilling to the ground around a partially reformed head. Moon Reapers make interesting corpses.
While they are uncontested the most powerful warrior mages in Rota, they do have severe limitations, the two most obvious of which are that they only have any powers at all during the night, and that there are only nineteen living.
