Planta
The Planta path of magic is based on the living organisms of one group: plants. People who practice this path or quicker to accept change and don't have to be eroded bit by bit. They also tend to show a constant growth (in intelligence and personality, not literally), and show a great deal of control over their magic.
Like those who practice Luto, they tend to be "rooted" to the place they grew up, and only the adventurous and ambitious every leave the place they grew up.
Their magic, however, tends to be very powerful. They can influence plants to grow faster than normal, and sometimes even cause them to move when they impart of their energy. Many Terramages claim the only two reasons plants don't move on their own is that they don't want to and don't have the energy to do it. The mage must provide both the motivation and the energy.
These mages may also tap into the energy in nearby plants, but they do this sparingly. Most often, they completely exhaust the plants energy. This power, however, allows them to indirectly tap into light energy as well. When doing so they usually even optimize the plants ability to photosynthesize. That's why plants in Htrae are said to grow larger than anywhere else in the world.
